Today the Ministry of Internal Affairs, NGO leaders and Security Agencies engaged through the quarterly dialogue meeting at the Serena Hotel Kampala. The quarterly institutionalized dialogue meetings between the Minister of Internal Affairs and the NGO Sector are purposed to build sustainable dialogue between the NGO Sector and Government.

The 3rd Dialogue meeting for the FY 2022/2023 has been dedicated to Security Agencies with the objective of enhancing a sustainable relationship between the Minister of Internal Affairs, NGO Bureau, Security Agencies, and the NGO sector through dialogue and adopting resolutions to improve the operating environment of the NGO sector in Uganda.

In attendance was the  Minister of State for Internal Affairs Hon. Gen David Muhoozi, H.E. The Ambassador of Ireland to Uganda Kevin Colgan, members from the diplomatic corps, the Vice Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Defence and Internal Affairs, the NGO Bureau Board of Directors and Adjudication Committee members, the Permanent Secretary  Ministry of Internal Affairs  Lt. Gen. Joseph Musanyufu, a representative from the Ministry of Gender Labour and Social Development, the Office of the President, representatives from various Security Agencies, Government  Officials from different Ministries Departments and Agencies, NGO representatives and the media fraternity. 

The dialogue meeting ended with all stakeholders agreeing to the need to take these dialogues to the sub-regions of the country.
